Palanga
Palanga is a Lithuanian resort by the Baltic Sea, 25 km to the North from Klaipėda, Klaipėda County. The town has a municipality status and includes the township of Palanga, Šventoji and Būtingė. Palanga is a climatic, balneologican and mud therapy resort of republican significance. There are plenty of hotels, resort houses and health care centres.
The most important healing factors are as follows: organism strengthening and toning climate, strong sun radiation (during the warm season there are more sunny days than anywhere else in Lithuania), bathing in cool sea, water of small, medium and large mineralization, healing mud. Disorders of nervous system, heart and blood-vessel systems, secondary digestive and motile appraratus, atherosclerosis and hypertone, breathing organs are cured here. Resort and recreation house are open here all year.
Palanga Botanical Park, founded in 1897, is one of the prettiest and best-preserved parks in Lithuania.
